Honor Motion Sickness Relief: how to turn it on
Yes. Honor calls it Motion Sickness Relief: animated dots along the edges of the screen that follow the vehicle's movement. It first appeared on the Honor 300 series in China in December 2024, went international with MagicOS 9 and phones such as the Honor 400 series in 2025, and MagicOS 10 added an option to start it automatically while driving and a choice of dot colour. Turn it on in Settings > Accessibility features > Motion Sickness Relief.

How to turn it on
Settings > Accessibility features > Motion Sickness Relief
- Open Settings > Accessibility features > Motion Sickness Relief.
- Turn it on. Dots appear along the edges of the screen and move with the vehicle.
- On MagicOS 10 you can also have it start automatically while driving, and pick a dot colour.
- Not there? Search Settings for motion sickness and install any pending MagicOS update.
What it does
The phone detects the direction you are moving in and draws dots on the screen that show that motion in real time, reacting to acceleration, braking and turns. Seeing the motion your body feels is designed to reduce the sensory conflict behind car sickness while you read or scroll.

Honor has been adding it through MagicOS 9 and MagicOS 10 updates, so other recent models may have it too. Check the setting on your own phone.
If you can't find it
- Your phone may be on an older MagicOS version: the feature arrived with MagicOS 9.
- Some models or regions may not include it.
- Once your Honor runs Android 17 with Google services, Google's Motion Assist is another route.
The other route: Google Motion Assist
Google's Motion Assist draws the same kind of dots on phones running Android 17 or later with an up to date Google Play services. It reached Pixel phones first, then Galaxy phones on One UI 9 in September 2026, and a Play services update on September 21, 2026 opened it to other Android 17 phones. On a Honor phone it arrives with that phone's Android 17 update. To look for it, search Settings for motion assist. The rollout is staged, so an eligible phone can take a while to show it.

What the dots can't do
The dots help while you are looking at the screen. They are a prevention aid for reading or scrolling as a passenger, not a way to stop nausea that has already started, and they do nothing once the phone is away. If it builds anyway, put the phone down, look out at the horizon and get some fresh air.
