Dizzout is made by Kinda Smart Inc., a US company founded in 2024. The app is free to download on iOS and Android, with a paid subscription for full access. It treats motion sickness with sound therapy, not medication, so there is no drowsiness and nothing to swallow.
What Dizzout is
Motion sickness comes from a mismatch between what your inner ear feels and what your eyes see. Dizzout plays precisely calibrated audio that gives your senses something steady to settle on, so nausea and dizziness ease off. You open the app, plug in any headphones, and tap play. Most people feel better in about 90 seconds.
It works in the situations where motion sickness actually happens: in cars, on boats and cruises, on planes, and in VR and games. It is used by travelers in more than 30 countries. That figure, and how we count it, is explained on our methodology page.

Who makes it
Roman Tkachenko
CEO and co-founder
Roman co-founded Dizzout after years of watching family members struggle with motion sickness on every trip. He focuses on product, operations, and making sure the app actually helps people in the situations where they need it.
Nikita Starov
CTO and co-founder
Nikita co-founded Dizzout and leads engineering and the audio technology behind it. His background is in software and machine learning. He writes about the science of the inner ear, sound therapy mechanisms, and the technical side of motion sickness research.
How we work
Dizzout writes about a health topic, so we hold the writing to a standard we can show you. We say what the research supports, we say when nobody has tested something, and we do not borrow evidence from one kind of nausea to make a claim about another. The rules, including what we refuse to do, are written out on our editorial methodology page, and the science behind the app is on our science page.
What makes Dizzout different
- Honest remedy verdicts: every remedy gets one committed verdict, each traceable to a named trial in motion sickness, and the build fails if a verdict lacks its evidence.
- The World Nausea Map: the same ratings placed on a map, so you can see which trips and rides people report as the roughest.
- The Nausea Index: a ranked, linkable list of the triggers people ask about most, from cruise ships to VR headsets.
