How this works

The rule is deliberately plain, and here it is in full: you land on higher only when both signals are at least moderate, or one is at the top and the other is not the lowest. When both are low, the read stays lower. Everything in between is moderate. The trip levels are typical, not a rating of your exact ship or route, so each trip links to the precise per-entity data.

Where each trip sits
- Cruise ship: usually calm. Large modern ships with stabilisers move the least of any common trip, though rough seas and a high or end cabin change that.
- Plane: moderate. Most flights feel mild. Air sickness tends to show up in turbulence, and a seat over the wing feels it least.
- Car or road trip: moderate. Cars are one of the most common triggers. Winding roads and looking down at a phone push it higher; the front seat and the horizon pull it back down.
- Train or bus: moderate. Buses on winding roads and backward-facing train seats are the usual culprits. A forward-facing window seat is steadiest.
- Ferry or small boat: often rough. Smaller craft feel the water directly, so an open or choppy crossing is among the rougher rides. Sit midship, low, with the horizon in view.
- Theme park ride or VR: often rough. Rides and VR pack the strongest, most provocative motion into the shortest time, which is why they set off even people who are usually fine.
