Satisfactory Motion Sickness: Why It Happens & What Helps
Satisfactory is a first-person open-world factory game, and its options include a section named Motion Sickness. The Satisfactory Wiki's list of the Options menu puts field of view, camera shake, camera tilt feedback and motion blur under Accessibility > Motion Sickness. Steam also lists the game under Camera Comfort. The one thing missing is a head bob switch: the wiki's changelog says it was removed in Patch 1.0.

Why Satisfactory can trigger motion sickness
You spend long stretches in first person, walking, jumping and building across a large world. Camera shake adds movement on impacts and explosions, and the Chainsaw is called out as a source. Camera tilt adds more when the game moves you automatically, as in Hypertubes, and Coffee Stain gives it a strength slider. Motion blur is off by default. Because all of this is in one menu section, you can remove each effect without hunting for it.
- Camera shake from impacts, explosions and the Chainsaw
- Camera tilt that shows acceleration in Hypertubes and other automatic transport
- First-person exploration and combat across a large open world

| Setting | Where | Recommendation |
|---|---|---|
| Field of View | Options > Accessibility > Motion Sickness | Raise it from the default of 90. The range is 60 to 120 |
| First Person FOV Modifier | Options > Accessibility > Motion Sickness | Adjust it if the held equipment looks too close after you raise the field of view. The range is 0.5 to 2 and the default is 0.5 |
| Camera Movement Feedback Strength | Options > Accessibility > Motion Sickness | Lower it toward 0 to cut the camera tilt in Hypertubes and other automatic transport. The range is 0 to 150 percent and the default is 100 |
| Camera Shake Intensity | Options > Accessibility > Motion Sickness | Off. Setting it to 0 fully disables the shake, including from the Chainsaw |
| Motion Blur | Options > Accessibility > Motion Sickness | Leave it Off, which is the default |
One guide explains these settings for every game: how field of view, motion blur, head bob and camera shake trigger motion sickness.

What helps beyond the settings

- Raise the field of view in steps from the default of 90, and lower Camera Movement Feedback Strength if Hypertubes bother you.
- Take breaks sooner than the game's default reminder every 2 hours, and stop at the first queasy signal.
