Why Planet Coaster 2 can trigger motion sickness
Frontier says you can walk around your park in a first-person point of view, and rides have a Ride Camera. The motion sickness risk comes from those views, since a ride camera can rotate with the car. Depth of Field and Motion Blur add blur on top of that movement. Frontier's notes cover those two effects. The sources opened do not list a field of view slider, a head bob toggle or a camera shake setting.
- Ride cameras that rotate with the car
- Walking around your park in the first-person view
- Depth of Field and Motion Blur, which may still be on for players who started before Hotfix 1

- Look at something still and far away until it passes, and try slow breathing

Frequently asked questions
Does Planet Coaster 2 have motion sickness settings?
It has Motion Blur and Depth of Field switches in Settings > Display Settings, and Steam lists Camera Comfort for the game. The Frontier notes and store pages opened do not list a field of view slider, a head bob toggle or a camera shake setting, so none are claimed.
Are Depth of Field and Motion Blur on by default in Planet Coaster 2?
Not for new players. Frontier turned both off by default in Hotfix 1. Players who started the game before that hotfix can switch them off in Settings > Display Settings.
Can I ride my coasters in first person in Planet Coaster 2?
Frontier's notes mention a first-person point of view for walking around your park and a Ride Camera button for rides. The sources opened do not say which rides offer a first-person view, so check the ride camera on each ride.
