Pixel Gun 3D Motion Sickness: Why It Happens & What Helps

Pixel Gun 3D has blocky graphics but a full first-person shooter camera, with fast turns, jumps and short matches. The developer's patch notes document one comfort option: a switch for motion blur on the PC edition, added in April 2024. They also mention FOV settings, but give no range or menu path, and say nothing about the phone versions.

Why Pixel Gun 3D can trigger motion sickness

Quick turns and jumps in small arenas show your eyes constant movement while your inner ear feels you holding still. That mismatch is what motion sickness is. On PC, motion blur adds smear to every fast turn. The PC edition launched in April 2024 with mouse sensitivity problems that the first patch fixed, so a sensitivity that felt too sharp at launch should feel different now.

  • Fast turns and jumps in small arenas
  • Motion blur on PC, if you leave it on
  • A high mouse or stick sensitivity, which turns small movements into big swings

One guide explains these settings for every game: how field of view, motion blur, head bob and camera shake trigger motion sickness.

What helps beyond the settings

  • Lower your mouse or stick sensitivity so each turn covers less of the screen
  • Play shorter matches with a break between them
  • At the first queasy signal, stop and look at something still and far away until it passes

The fixes people reach for once they step away from the screen are covered separately, with the trials attached: the remedy verdicts.

Frequently asked questions

Can I turn off motion blur in Pixel Gun 3D?

On the PC edition, yes. The developer's April 2024 post-release notes promised an option to disable motion blur in the Settings menu, and Patch 24.3.8 shipped it. The notes do not say which part of the Settings menu holds it, so look through the graphics options. The patch notes say nothing about the phone versions.

Does Pixel Gun 3D have a field of view setting?

The PC patch notes mention FOV settings, in a fix for sniper rifle scatter that depended on them, so the PC edition appears to have one. PCGamingWiki lists it as unknown, and the developer gives no range or menu path. If you find the slider, raise it in small steps.

Why does Pixel Gun 3D make me dizzy?

It is a fast first-person shooter, so the view turns and jumps all the time while your body sits still. Your eyes report movement your inner ear does not feel. Turn motion blur off on PC, lower your sensitivity, play short matches and look at something still and far away when queasiness starts.
