Less than most parks this size, and it hands you more control than most. LEGOLAND Deutschland is built for families, and two of its rides are unusual in a way that matters if you are motion sensitive: Power Builder is a robot arm that runs the intensity you select, and Flying NINJAGO only flips if you make it flip. That means you can ride both without committing to the worst they can do. The rest of the lineup is moderate by thrill park standards. MAXIMUS is a wing coaster with a corkscrew and a helix, The Great LEGO Race is a wild mouse with flat unbanked turns, Wellenreiter spins water gondolas at speed, and Jungle X-pedition is a log flume with a 12 m drop. The 2023 attendance figure was around 1.58 million, and the park itself says it welcomes roughly 1.7 million guests a year.

The rides most likely to set you off
Flying NINJAGO: rider-controlled flipping ride where you can trigger continuous head-over-heels spins.
Power Builder: programmable robot arm that runs your chosen intensity, up to head-over rolls.
MAXIMUS - Der Flug des Wachters: wing coaster with legs dangling through a corkscrew and a helix.
The Great LEGO Race: wild mouse coaster with sharp, flat turns that arrive with no banking.
Wellenreiter: fast circular water-gondola ride, so the rotation is constant.
Jungle X-pedition: log flume with a 12 m drop at the end.
Flying NINJAGO is the hardest ride here, and how hard is up to you. The seats flip head over heels when the rider works them, so a determined teenager can generate near-continuous rotation for the length of the cycle. Sustained flipping is one of the strongest dizziness triggers there is, and it is worse when you are the one causing it and cannot predict your own next roll.
Where to reset between rides
When your stomach needs a break, head for LEGOLAND Express (slow park train), Harbour Cruise (slow boat tour), Junior Driving School (slow kids driving course) or Observation Tower (rotating panoramic cabin). Slow visuals, a fixed horizon and a seat that is not spinning give your inner ear time to settle before the next big ride.

Your survival plan for LEGOLAND Deutschland Resort
- 1
Use the intensity settings. Power Builder runs the level you choose, so pick a gentle programme first and work up only if it sits well.
- 2
On Flying NINJAGO, simply do not work the seat. It stays a mild ride if you leave the flipping alone, so brief younger children before they board.
- 3
Ride The Great LEGO Race before lunch. Wild mouse turns are flat and unbanked, which throws you sideways and is much worse on a full stomach.
- 4
Give Wellenreiter room in the schedule. Constant rotation lingers, so do not follow it with anything that spins.
- 5
Use the LEGOLAND Express and the Harbour Cruise as recovery rides, and the Observation Tower for a slow, high view that resets your horizon.
- 6
Keep earbuds in the bag and start Dizzout the moment someone says they feel off. Drug-free, no drowsiness, and most people feel better in about 90 seconds.
Going with kids
A strong park for mixed tolerance, because Power Builder and Flying NINJAGO both let the rider set how far things go. A slow park train, a boat tour, a kids driving course and a rotating observation tower cover the calm end.
Common questions
Which LEGOLAND Deutschland ride is worst for motion sickness?+
Flying NINJAGO, if you use it as intended. The seats flip head over heels under rider control, and sustained flipping is one of the strongest dizziness triggers in any park. Left alone, the same ride is mild, which is what makes it unusual.
Can you pick how intense a ride is here?+
On two of them, yes. Power Builder is a programmable robot arm that runs the intensity level you select, up to head-over rolls, and Flying NINJAGO only flips when the rider makes it. That is rare in theme parks and it is genuinely useful for a group with mixed tolerance.
Is LEGOLAND Deutschland suitable for a child who gets travel sick?+
It is one of the better options. The intense list is short and mostly optional in its intensity, and the calm rides are properly calm: a slow park train, a boat tour, a kids driving course and a rotating observation tower. Skip Wellenreiter and the wild mouse and the day gets easier still.
